A message from Mrs. Roxanne Ognibene…

Hi…I’m Roxanne Ognibene and I teach the Pre-K, Lamb class at Good Shepherd Christian Academy. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of New Hampshire and I have been teaching preschool for 13 years. I have a husband, Vance and 2 daughters, Kelsey and Lindsay, ages 22 and 24. We have a cat, Chloe and a Boxer named Roman. Well, that’s enough about me now.

As a teacher, it is my goal to create a nurturing environment where children are able to experience a wide range of activities that are age appropriate. These activities should encourage self-expression, exploration and creativity within a controlled setting. Because we are the Pre-K class, the children will also have the opportunity to begin reading and writing skills using a time-tested curriculum. This will help them transition into Kindergarten.

Because we are a Christian, faith-based school, we also have the privilege of sharing God’s love with the children in very practical ways with a Bible curriculum that will help them see an active, relational God—“The Good Shepherd”.
