Kindergarten
I believe that GSCA Kindergarten should be a joyful, nurturing, yet challenging, Christ-centered developmentally appropriate learning environment. GSCA Kindergarten includes training in phonemic awareness, alphabetic principles, connecting letters with sounds, word blending, sight word recognition and beginning reading with a goal of enabling most children to be happy little readers by the end of the year! Children learn basic handwriting skills, beginning math concepts, beginning Spanish, science and social studies, Bible, art, music and physical education in a full day program, which allows us to adapt the pace of instruction and learning to suit each child.
Because each of us is created by God in His image (Genesis 1:27) with unique gifts and abilities (1 Corinthians 12:4), we seek to create a classroom environment that enables each child to acquire skills they will need to be successful and engender a love for learning. Our motto is: “Have fun and learn something new!” Shouldn’t we all?
