Scratch Programing Language
One of our students' favorite computer programs, SCRATCH, is a free program and can be downloaded by anyone for their own educational adventures. Our students have occasional opportunities to experiment with it in our computer lab, and they love it. “Scratch” was developed by M.I.T. as a computer programing language for everyone, but customized for giving children their first, positive exposure to computer programming. It is very fun, simple, and educational. Families can download the free program directly from M.I.T. to your home computer as an extra educational activity for your children over weekends, school breaks etc. Your child will be fascinated with the idea of being able to program actions on the computer screen.
