Overview

At Good Shepherd Christian Academy, we welcome preschoolers into the world of learning and education with fun, faith, and family. At this time we are offing three different preschool classes that provide an increasing number of days as the child increases in age:

Teddy Bear Class (3 Year Old Students) - Tuesday and Thursday

Panda Class (4 Year Old Students) Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Lamb Class (Younger 5 Year Old Students) - Pre-Kindergarten Monday – Friday

Curriculum

Our preschool classes are structured to provide a balance between time away from home learning skills that will lead to a lifetime of learning with the very important support of family.  We believe that as each child grows, he or she gradually and naturally develops the ability and desire to be away from family for longer and longer periods.

As part of our curriculum we also believe that it is important for 4 and 5 year old students to learn and practice handwriting skills.  To that end we use the exemplary Handwriting Without Tears program to introduce Preschoolers to this skill.
